Jhasper, the founder of Speren Consulting

Hi, I'm Jhasper, the founder of Speren Consulting. I've worked in product marketing for a large tech company for the past 4 years, where I specialize in marketing enterprise products and services related to data and AI. Generative engine optimization grew out of that same work, and it's just as important for a small business as it is for a Fortune 500 company. Your customers now ask AI tools like ChatGPT to help them decide where to eat, party, shop, and exercise. I started this business because local businesses are getting left behind in this shift. My job is to help you catch up and stay ahead of your competition. I work as your strategist: I find what's keeping you invisible, and I help you fix it.

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me exploring a museum (art history is a longtime love), trying a new workout class like pilates, Lagree, or hot yoga, or swapping ideas at my philosophy club and book club.

What is generative engine optimization (GEO)? +

It's the practice of getting your business to show up when people ask AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity for a recommendation. Traditional SEO helps you rank on Google's results page. GEO helps you become the answer the AI actually gives.

How do I show up in ChatGPT or AI search results? +

AI tools pull from your Google Business Profile, online listings, reviews, and the content on your website, especially content that clearly answers real questions. When those signals are consistent and easy to read, AI is far more likely to recommend you. That's exactly what I set up.

Isn't this just Search Engine Optimization (SEO)? +

There's overlap, and a strong local SEO foundation still matters. But AI tools choose and summarize businesses differently than Google's ranked list does. GEO focuses on the signals those tools rely on, so you're not just findable, you're the one being recommended.

I already show up on Google. Do I still need this? +

Ranking on Google and being recommended by AI aren't the same thing, and plenty of businesses that rank well are invisible in ChatGPT. As more customers start their search with AI, the gap between the two is where you quietly lose business. This closes it.
